Success is my only option.
It’s that simple.
I don’t walk to burn calories, because I burn calories by telling some really good jokes. I walk because I intend to arrive at a certain place by a certain point in time.
Why?
Well, because I believe you must have goals to achieve anything.
Short-term goals, long-term goals, take your pick!
Just don’t give up at the first sight of disappointment. Any journey you embark on will have its setbacks. Any quest, physical or spiritual, will begin with a single decision and be peppered with challenges, as it should be. Otherwise, how else will you feel the sense of satisfaction once you complete the journey?
It’s a wonderful feeling when you overcome obstacles, even life’s little victories are worth something.
And what about your inner demons?
That is a matter between you and God.
This is my journey. I’m creating my path. Join me if you’d like…and let it be known that I would most certainly welcome the company. Share your thoughts. Encourage each other, and find a little motivation through the support provided by each word that is written (typed) and read. It’ll be like we’re all holding hands in an ever-globalizing world that has evolved from the most primitive forms of writing (on stone tablets) to the technological tablets of our time. I-Pad?
I, like many of you, seek to have my stories etched in eternity. Despite the rejection letters, due to poorly written and continuously improved query letters, I keep on moving forward. You must always KEEP MOVING FOWARD!
Your pace may quicken, or it may even decelerate depending on your mood, but for heaven’s sake, don’t give up!
Deliberate with yourself all you want. Put some thought into what you want to share with the world and make sure it means something. Weave a world with words where your readers will look forward to escaping into and create characters they will love, hate, hate-to-love and love-to-hate. Articulate a work of art that imitates life and leave your indelible mark on the world!

This is what writing is, isn’t it?
Think about it.
Writing reaches back in time to an era when humans felt the need to communicate with a purpose. Of course, back then the purpose was for maintaining records of transactions, however it didn’t end there.
At some point, after stories passed from generation-to-generation, someone decided to engrave the legends on stone tablets. Thankfully some of those artifacts survived the sands of time, but what I find so fascinating is that this practice has evolved, and us along with it, into how we write today. Humanity felt the need to communicate in a creative manner to feed our imaginations and essentially expand the horizons of our minds!
Robert Masello wrote in his book, Robert’s Rules of Writing that “writing has to have a purpose; it’s meant to communicate something to someone.”
Perhaps this is why many of us are here. I know it’s one of the reasons I am here. I am here because I have written novels I long to share it with the world! This is the reason I embarked on the lonely journey of the writer, because I want the world of tomorrow to know I was here today.
I want to make my contribution to society in one of my favorite forms of expression. I need to know that I’m not just good at putting words together, but that I am capable of whisking you away in a whirlwind of “what ifs” for a day, afternoon, evening, or whenever you want to escape.
I want to ask questions that force us to seek more answers, attain greater understanding, and find ourselves lost with amazement at the potential of what will be. I aim to achieve my goals and realize my dreams, because God gave them to me and I’d be a fool to do nothing with the tools I’ve been granted to realize my hearts ambitions.
Come along with me! Let’s leap across the boundaries of time, pass between the realms of reality and metaphysical myth on a quest to bridge the gap between logic and emotion, between science and spirituality to see things we’ve never seen and return with a new paradigm for the way we see the world.
There are many things I want to leave for my children: Simrin Anjali and Jayden Leonardo. Among them are the spirits of adventure and perseverance, and the courage to continue along their personal journeys despite the challenges they will face. They will need these to live out their dreams and discover their purpose.
Story telling does that for us as only two other things do, and so I will leave you with the following quote:
